Yep, as an app, 2 crab cakes are over $10 or something like that. However, we just increased the portion of each crab cake today though. I made more.

Working tomorrow lunch, come in and see me at Britt's Pub & Eatery. I'll set you straight during your workday, or if you're lucky, your day off.

We're online now at www.brittspub.ca

We now changed the breakfast crabcakes situation. We now have a different portion on the breakfast crabcakes compared to the app ones. Plural will work.

I've tried it at the Pics brewery, a not as hoppy as the Yippee IPA mixed with a little more hoppy than the blonde.

a great pub beer. enjoy.

We sold out of the first shipment. More on the way. I think they have 20 more 20L kegs ready for us. I don't think they'll have a new batch ready in time before we pour through those.

I think it was something like 9x20L kegs in 3 days. So, 60L/day, or 120 pints/day=10 pints/hour open, given no wastage which is not totally accurate but still. Lots of beer.

Went there today for lunch.
Great decor and layout (given the nature of the space overall), but I question how efficiently the available space is used. I realize this may change down the road and it might be done in part to make it seem fuller than it is. Very clean and bright, though, and Chris Lloyd's paintings are great.
Roy served us and he's awesome. No service complaints at all. The other girl working front of house seemed super nice as well.
Barb had the breakfast-- two eggs cooked perfectly, toast, home fries (would marry these home fries btw), and since she did not get meat, they subbed a fresh sliced tomato. All seemed very good.
I had a vegetable pizza. The crust was sort of dry and I assume pre-made, but this is more nitpicky than anything. I realize this is not a pizza place and I do not expect Pomodori. Decent pesto sauce, excellent veggies (the standards-- peppers, mushrooms, onions-- plus some oddballs. Asparagus! Zucchini!), cheese was good (ie., not too much). Really enjoyed this overall.
Great meal, excellent value. Reckon I will be back often.

Thanks Adam. I'll pass this along. Seems weird though that it was dry. We make it in house, par cook it for a few minutes, and then freeze it right away. Then we finish the cooking to order with the pizza toppings/sauce. We sell a ton of pizzas and have gotten nothing but excellent feedback. We're definitely not Pomodori, but I think it's an excellent product.

Went for my birthday last week. It was awesome. I have nothing else to say. My steak was excellent and the service was good too.

Will definitely be going back.

Just missed ya Daryl. Me and my bro-in-law came in for a pint after lunch at SJAH

He tried and really liked the Britt's. I was driving...so no boozy IPA for me.

I went to Britt's for lunch a couple weeks ago and had the spring rolls and some type of garden salad, hold the feta. I was thrilled that the spring rolls were fish-sauce free (unless drunken Peppers Dan J led me astray). They were delish. My salad would have been better had I not drowned it in vinegrette, but that's my own fault. Our waiter was cute and got me to explain him the difference between vegetarian and vegan. I could hear the chef attempting to explain it to him, but was unsucessful in reaching an understanding as the waiter was a little slow on the uptake. Must have taken a girl. I can't wait to have dinner some evening.

Ha, sounds like Andrew (we call him JT). And yes, the Spring Rolls are fish-sauce free. I'm surprised the salad was too drenched in vinaigrette. Typically they are pretty good at dressing properly. I'd probably hold off getting dressing on the side one more time.

My understanding is that she did get it on the side and put too much on herself.

Were you on the table next to the party of four, beside the back door?

Or, the booth back by that same area?

The night was a blur. Someone had to go home so at one point I was running 6 tables plus a couple of people at the bar. Normally we do 3 or 4 tables per server.

we had a great feed before going to oleary's wednesday night- excellent serice as well. the only downside- classic rock isn't really what you want/expect in that environment- also, the 3 flatscreens are very distrcating to hanging with your friends

This. I really wish ChurchStreet and Britts would mix up their music some but I understand why they do it. First of all SJ is very much still stuck in the 70s/early 80s. ChurchStreet could turn off existing clientele come to know and love their atmosphere and really both Britts and Church Street target the same crowd (mature professionals). Obviously that is not their only client base (I am an immature professional) but you catch my drift. But I agree with you 100%. You can only hear "Boys in the Bright White Sportscars or the same 3 Led Zep songs over and over again.

On another note, I was there last night and the place seemed pretty busy. Just had drinks but service was very good.

Gone. I think the store is out of it for the season too. It was the best brew I've made so far. I've actually had several bottles of the stout that were not drinkable. Trisha capped most of them so I'm not sure if it was her fault for not creating the proper cap or not cleaned bottles. I can't see the non-cleaned bottles as we rinsed them after each usage, soaked them in disinfectant, let them sit, disinfectanted them again, and rinsed well before bottling. But, I don't want to blame her for these. It could also be faulty caps. Who knows?
