The text was a summary. The video was almost 4 minutes. Don't have four minutes to spare.

I totally expect to be able to stream music for free. I don't expect to be able to acquire a whole album that I can put on my computer or iphone for free necessairily, nor go to a show for free, or acquire band merchandise for free. If I couldn't stream music for free, I won't know who your band is or if they're worth buying an album unless it's played on community radio or I catch a show. I can't see bands I like on MuchMusic because it's not the 90s, grandpa.

He forgot 'convenient and enjoyable'.

I had to check the date on this video as it sounded like something from 2002 or 2003ish. His notion that no one is writing about piracy and file sharing from the artist perspective is hilarious. Has he never heard of Google?

But yes, he's right, it's unethical when it's done illegally (which it often isn't). I don't think there are many people arguing it's not unethical to abuse an artist's rights. Certainly not people who make creative works.
