Today is a very exciting day for us here at the Music For A Cure Saint John camp. One of the biggest joys I take in this event is I get to work with many amazing artists, and this one in particular will secure a special place in all of our hearts. I am pleased to announce our Warm-up act to our headliner (which will now be known as the Horizon Time Slot) the very talented Makayla Lynn!!!!!

Some of you may recognize Makayla Lynn as the young girl who wrote the beautiful, heartwarming song Fallen Hero: http://www.makaylalynnmusic.com/fallen-hero.html. This song was inspired by the tragic shootings of 3 RCMP officers earlier this summer in Moncton and the hit song went viral all over the internet. This widely popular video became so popular, media outlets began picking it up and airing it during their broadcasts and asked Makayla to perform the song on air. We here at MFACSJ know her as the 13 year old up and coming country music star with 50 songs in her catalog and 3 albums including her latest offering "Daydream" (http://www.makaylalynnmusic.com/store.html) which was recorded in Nashville, Tenessee and released in May of 2014. Daydream was produced by Smith Curry (steel and dobro for Taylor Swift, Kid Rock, Randy Travis and many others) and Darryl Landry (songwriter/publisher), with vocal production by Dave Demay (Star Search winner and nephew of legend Buddy Killen.

At such a young age, this pint sized Superstar has accomplished more than some artists do in a life time. Fresh off her 4th appearance at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival playing the main stage, She has shared the stage with many nationally known country music artists such as Carrie Underwood, The Dixie Chicks, Dwight Yoakam, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Tanya Tucker, Bill Anderson, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Kid Rock along with many others.

We at Music For A Cure Saint John are honored to have Makayla Lynn as our Horizon artist for this year’s event. If you would like to hear more of Makayla Lynn, please visit:

Line up change!!!

Due to circumstances beyond our control. Round Four and Chasing Dragons had to drop off the bill. Additionally we've added an After Party held at Peppers beginning at 11pm which will include DFO / Along With Ghosts and Little You Little Me who will not be on the main event at the boardwalk stage.
